We looked in Bath and Body Works. They are having a huge sale right now; however, we were able to resist and came away with a rose night light for $6.50. Whew! Not too much damage subjecting oneself to so much enticement.
Then the rain came down. Torrential. Breeanna was worried that her phone would get wet so I told her to put it in the plastic shopping bag.
We walked over to the number 12 bus pick up and looked out into traffic that occassionally spayed us as it drove by.
Luckily we saw the 11 which was cadicorner within minutes and thanked the bus driver heartily for saving us.
After we got on though the bus made a very loud abraiding sound. Upon close inspection the bus driver determined that a cover was loose and scraped the ground. It only made the sound over bumps and dips in the road. The bus ride was harrowing though until discovery of the cause which didn't happen until we were almost to bus depot. The bus driver kept saying that he only needed to the depot with each scrape we experienced.
Upon arriving we discovered that we had an hour wait time before the 17 would arrive. Sigh. Breeanna complained that she was cold. I held her and massaged her hand, the arm then back.
A stranger said, "Grandma or mom".
I replied that Breeanna was my mom.
He laughed.
I was offended. Why does everyone think I'm a grandma?!!
When we debussed the short walk home seemed to take soooo long as our shoes were drenched. Breeanna was uninterested in my explaination. I do somewhat recall, NEVER ASK A QUESTION THAT YOU DON'T WANT THE ANSWER TO; nevertheless, we made it home and I popped some popcorn for our late night snack.
All in all, it in the end did provide a story. And home is where Breeanna is.
